Moving on (Nld)

Het is alweer even geleden. Zo gigantisch bruin… Continue reading

I’m back

I’m back, back in Coogee. Yesterday I got off the Greyhound bus at Sydney Central Station, rain was pouring, buses were on strike. Excellent. Yet, it feels good to be here again, it really feels like home. And for the first time in more then 7 weeks of traveling, I had a room to myself last night, which was GREAT, absolutely a luxury. I’m staying at a friend’s apartment for the moment until after Christmas, which is only next week. I’ll be in Sydney until the 8th of January, that day I’ll fly back to the Netherlands. There is so much I’d like to do before that day, diving, going to the opera house, meeting with friends, chilling at the beach, partying! And of course Christmas and New Year’s eve. It will be one a special one this year and a “white Christmas” for me should be interpreted open-minded, since the white for me will be the sand at the beach where i’ll have a Christmas BBQ with friends. I have to say I’m jealous of those back home who have snow, I heard it’s snowing all over Europe. I really hope for you all that it will stay till after Christmas! But for now, for you, here my wishes in writing!

Merry Christmas and the best wishes for 2010!

Ready for take off!

In a few hours I will be starting my Great Ozzie Trip! Tonight I’m flying, with Jenny (German girl I met on the Melbourne trip) to Adelaide to catch a plane to Alice Springs the next day. Here we will be camping, sleeping in swags, visit Uluru (Ayers Rock) and other impressive Australian outback “Must Sees”. After 5 days, Jenny will head back to Sydney and I will continue my journey to the Grand Finale: the Australian East Coast! I’ll arrive in Cairns on Saturday and I hope to give a first update that weekend!
But for now, I’m ready for take off! Adelaide/Alice Springs: here we come!
